1:00-1:30 Rhythm Circle: Participants are invited to tap, shake, and/or drum along to generated drum beats and chord progressions, lead and follow individual rhythms, and even sing along with the guitar to group rhythms, if desired.
1:30-2:00 Dance: Solo Swing* warm-up includes basic swing step and fun hand motions. Ballet basics such as plies and port de bras (bending gently at the knees, and gracefully moving the arms) will be danced. Jazz dance combination-- easy but great-looking, energetic steps are performed to jazz music.
2:00-2:30 Improv: Comedy improv warm-ups include simple word activities and physical motions. Games involve accepting offers and building on them ( “Yes, and..”). Scene work involves creating and/or acting out impromptu stories as a team effort.
2:30-3:00 One-on-One: Q&A-- Meet the instructor, explore private lesson options, and discover benefits of engaging in the wonderfully fun activities offered.
Please contact Robyne de Jong to arrange a complimentary introduction to activities that will come to your community.
*Solo Swing is a rhythmic style of dancing akin to tap dancing without tap shoes, done to swing music. No partner is needed.
